For detoxing inside out
I don’t believe in juice diets but I do believe that we can boost our immune system and burst with energy with the help of some extra vitamins. A great juice recipe for the new year could help you detox and feel more awake in the morning. Juice can also give your skin the goodness it needs to stay looking healthy and beautiful. Jason Vale, known as the juice master, has come up with various recipes for detoxing. It is super easy but it visibly great for your skin. Hot ‘n’ Spicy! All you need are 3 apples and 1 good pinch of cinnamon. Apples are considered to be one of the best anti-cancer and health promoters. This recipe is great for hydrating your skin and in these winter months is idea to warm up to. Juice the apples and pour the juice into a saucepan to slowly heat (do not boil). Pour into a mug and add cinnamon, it is as simple as that!
Liz Earle also believes in the power of juice to help the skin. “Good skin is created from within.” She has a sweet recipe for soothing sensitive skin. It is a juice that helps eczema, psoriasis and rosacea. Calming ingredients such as cucumber and fennel can help combat skin inflammation. Skin-calming antioxidants and anti-inflammatory essential fatty acids also work well here. For one large glass you will need; 1 apple, a carrot, half a bulb of fennel, a quarter cucumber, half a ripe avocado, and a borage-seed-oil capsule or evening-primrose-oil capsule. Juice the fruit apple, carrot, fennel and cucumber, in their entirety, then add the avocado flesh and the contents of your chosen oil capsule. Blend it all together and you will have your green juice for problem skin.

A daily gentle exfoliant I love is Daily Microfoliant by Dermalogica. This rice-based exfoliating powder activates upon contact with water so it is really quick and easy to use. It releases Papain, Salicylic Acid and Rice Enzymes that micro-exfoliate dead cells, leaving skin smoother and brighter. It is very gentle and skin instantly feels flawless and cleaner. One of my all time favourites is Bobbi Brown Intensive Skin Supplement. It is a multi-benefit serum that improves skin’s appearance by helping to prevent the visible signs of ageing including dark sports and fine, dry lines. It make the skin feel cocooned and protected. I have always loved the freshness of Biotherm. All their range are extremely hydrating and powerful. Aquasource Gel has a light and cooling texture and is extra-charged in regenerating Life Plankton and moisturizing Mannose. Skin feels plump and radiant. This is great in winter to fight off the cold and prevent your skin from getting dry and irritated, as well as in the hot summer months due to it’s light formula. Biotherm Aquasource Gel €39,15
