There is something impossibly dreamy about a set like the one Christian Dior chose for its Dior Resort 2016 Fashion Show. The stunning Palais Bulles, or Bubble Palace, served as the backdrop for showcasing its new collection to the world. Here’s some highlights from Instagram of this specially beautiful day in the Côte d’Azur.
Situated on the cliffs of Théoule-sur-Mer, the venue for the show, Le Palais Bulles, was created in the 80s by the Hungarian ‘habitology’ architect Antti Lovag, who was fascinated by Inuit and early human dwellings that were spherical in shape.
As the fashion house explains, Le Palais Bulles is an utopian project that encompasses earth, sky and sea. Raf Simons, Artistic Director of this collection, has also been inspired by the colours, textures and light of the natural world of the Cote d’Azur, together with the style of the people who have inhabited it.
