A new personal exhibition in Milan titled ALTERED IMAGES shines more light on the work of this New York Photographer who captured the 70s and 80s era and its great cultural icons.
Christopher Makos is known for his famous portraits, from David Bowie, Tennessee Williams, Halston, John Paul Getty III, Grace Jones, Patti Smith, Alice Cooper or Iggy Pop. But he has also collected like no other the essence of an age. He documented the birth of punk and captured the extravagances, excesses and everyday gatherings with Mick Jagger, Keith Haring or John Lennon at at his friend Andy Warhol’s “Factory”.

Until the 4th of August, the Galleria Carla Sozzani at Corso Como (Milan) hosts a unprecedented personal exhibition of the New York photographer, with 62 photographs that vividly bring back the 70s and 80’s art scene.
