If you were in Fashion Week Milan, you might have fallen head over heels in love with these classy manhole covers. 24 designs, created by the great names of Italian fashion: Giorgio Armani, Just Cavalli, Moschino, Prada, Trussardi, Versace and Emilio Pucci, among others. A beautiful symphony between street art and design.
“Above the below: Manhole Art tells the wired city“ is the third edition of this street exhibition curated by Monica Nascimbeni, promoted by the Milanese Metroweb, in collaboration with the National Chamber of Fashion. At the end of the exhibition in January 2016, the manhole covers will be restored and auctioned at Christie’s and the proceeds will be donated to non-profit organization Oxfam Italy.
Each of the designs are a genuine work of art and reflect the philosophy of the masons. In this image, Prada illustrates its conceptual geometric elegance.
