Statistics say that by 2018, UK will become the leading market in luxury sales in Europe. Sales, in the end, are what moves this industry, and it shouldn’t feel ashamed of admitting it. Designers are playing their part, listening to the street, and offering clients a variety of ‘click-instant’ shopping experiences: with direct streamings, Instagram backstage previews, Snapchat retransmissions…Making the “I want it now” fulfillable and easier than ever (for those who have the budget!). If LFWSS15 made something clear, it’s that London is not only a fashion trend machine, it’s also a selling machine.

Gareth Pugh: it’s all about the money. The catwalk was filled with coins! And Pugh exchanged black and a goth atmosphere for a disco-themed geometric collection fit for Studio 54.
