The ladies might like it more than the fellas, but I sure all of them agree Jim Bachor’s artistic response to Chicago’s pothole problems is an inspiring initiative. Thanks to his efforts, some of Chicago’s potholes are now filled with these colourful tiled flower mosaics.

The ladies might like it more than the fellas, but I sure all of them agree Jim Bachor’s artistic response to Chicago’s pothole problems is an inspiring initiative. Thanks to his efforts, some of Chicago’s potholes are now filled with these colourful tiled flower mosaics.

On his website, the Chicago based artist keeps a list of addresses and photos of his guerrilla street art pieces. We’re not sure if any of these are still around, but if we land in Chicago anytime soon, we’d love to find some of them!

Before this flower series, his body of work included glass and marble pieces depicting a Chicago flag, the phone number for a local auto garage and “361,841”, his guess for the number of gaps and gouges in the city’s pockmarked streets.
